How to Always Look Good

I always want to look good, especially when I go out. I don’t have to always look like a Kardashian, but I want to look decent, and well put together.  Decent enough that if I ran into an ex, I wouldn’t feel completely embarrassed. But I wasn’t quite sure how to do it. So I started to watch Youtube (how else do people learn things?). I soon began to realize that men always want to look good too.  So I  did some more research and came up with these tips to help you guys always look your best. Besides, women enjoy some eye candy too.

Iron your clothes

I’ve seen so many guys in great outfits. The shirt is nice, the fit is right, but their clothing is so wrinkled. It destroys the entire look and they end up looking sloppy and unkept. Take the extra 5 minutes to iron your clothes please and thank you.

Practice good hygiene

What does hygiene have to do with how you look? Not much, but it does play a BIG part on how you are perceived. To be honest, if you look good and smell bad it is a turn-off, and something us women are not willing to look past. Plus, you’ll  feel better knowing that you smell fresh, which can give you an extra boost of confidence. Women can’t resist a confident man. It also wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a few go-to colognes.  A man who smells and looks fresh will always get noticed. As I mentioned in a previous article, men see, women smell.

Maintain your hair

One way to ensure that you always look good is to maintain a fresh line up. Even if you are growing out your hair, have your barber give you a lineup. Moisturize your hair to keep it shiny and reduce dandruff.

Wear clothing that fits

Fit is king. If there is one thing that you take away from this article, MAKE SURE YOUR CLOTHES FIT.  You may be able to get able to get away with wrinkled clothes, you may even be able to get away with bad breath (as long as you don’t speak). But there is no way to escape bad fitting clothes. It does not look good. Period. It doesn’t matter how nice the suit, jeans, or shirt is. If it is not your size, don’t wear it. If you always want to be on point, figure out what fits your body and stick to it.

Keep it simple

Sometimes it may be difficult to find an outfit. Don’t overdo it and keep it simple. Know the must-haves for semi-formal and casual wear. When in doubt go back to basics, you will NEVER go wrong.

Wear clean shoes

I grew up in  New York and you were always told to look at a man’s shoes first. And while it may no longer be the first thing I look at, I eventually make my way down to the feet. Shoes really can complete a look. So it is always a good idea to take care of your shoes so that they look clean and fresh. Take the time to clean, polish and shine your shoes.

The devil is in the details.  Add some nice accessories such as bracelets, a lapel flower,  pocket squares, a necklace, glasses, or a hat (not all of these at the same time though).  Do this tastefully. Know the environment that you will be in, and be appropriate. The right accessories can add the perfect touch to an outfit and allow you to look effortlessly stylish.

By following these steps, no matter where you go, you will always get noticed. I hope you find these tips really helpful.
